Frequently asked questions

We understand that you may have questions or concerns before attending one of our inclusion workshops. We aim to provide transparent and helpful answers to alleviate any worries and highlight the many benefits our workshops offer. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions:

1. Who is WonderWell for?
WonderWell supports children, young people, and adults who are looking for a more compassionate, personalised approach to learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. Whether you are seeking counselling, tutoring, mentoring, or workshops, WonderWell is designed to feel safe, supportive, and inclusive.

2. What services do you offer?
WonderWell offers one-to-one counselling, mentoring, academic tutoring, GCSE and A-Level support, ESL (English as a Second Language), and wellbeing or creative workshops. Each session is tailored to the individual, recognising that every person learns and grows differently.

3. How do I know if counselling is right for my child or for me?
If you or your child are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in confidence, or simply in need of a safe space to talk, counselling can be incredibly supportive. Sessions are gentle, collaborative, and always guided by your pace and comfort.

4. What age groups do you work with?
We work with children, adolescents, and adults. Sessions are adapted to suit developmental stages, learning styles, and emotional needs.

5. What happens in a first session?
The first session is a calm and welcoming space to get to know one another. We talk about what has brought you here, what you hope to gain, and how WonderWell can best support you. There is no pressure — just conversation and connection.

6. Are sessions online or in person?
Depending on availability and preference, sessions may be offered in person or online. The aim is always to create a comfortable and accessible experience for you or your child.

7. Do you support GCSE and A-Level students with exam stress?
Yes. Academic support at WonderWell goes beyond subject knowledge. Alongside tutoring, students are supported with confidence-building, organisation skills, and emotional wellbeing to help reduce pressure and encourage a healthier relationship with learning.

8. What makes WonderWell different from traditional tutoring or counselling services?
WonderWell brings together education, emotional wellbeing, and creativity. Sessions focus not only on outcomes, but on how a child or individual feels during the process. Compassion, curiosity, and genuine inclusion sit at the heart of everything offered.

9. Do you work with neurodivergent children or those who feel misunderstood in mainstream settings?
Yes. Many families come to WonderWell seeking a gentler, more understanding environment. Sessions are adapted to honour individuality, strengths, and emotional needs rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach.

10. Can parents be involved in the process?
Absolutely. Parents are seen as partners in the journey. Where appropriate, guidance and gentle support can be offered so that growth continues beyond the session space.

11. What languages do you speak?
Sessions can be offered in English, Serbian, or French, depending on your preference and comfort.

12. What are the workshops like?
Workshops are warm, creative, and nurturing spaces designed to encourage emotional expression, confidence, and connection. They may include reflective activities, discussion, and creative exploration in a supportive group setting.

13. Is everything confidential?
Confidentiality is deeply respected. The only exceptions would be situations involving safety concerns, which would always be handled with care and transparency.

14. How do I book a session or ask a question?
You can get in touch through the website’s contact form or enquiry page. From there, we can arrange an initial conversation to explore what feels right for you or your child.

15. What if I’m not sure where to start?
That’s completely okay - many people feel that way. Simply reach out. We can gently talk through your needs together and decide on the best next step, with no pressure or expectations.
